Nashia inaguensis is a little rare shrub of the family Verbenaceae, native to the Bahamas. Commonly called "Moujean tea", "Bahamas Berry" or "Pineapple Verbena", its fragrant foliage is variously described as having the scent of citrus, vanilla, or pineapple. Its leaves are used in tea.
The common myrtle (Myrtus communis), also called "The Lagui Grass" is a bushy shrub in the family Myrtaceae. It can reach exceptional longevity, sometimes more than 300 years. It was a sacred tree among the Romans and dedicated to Venus, crowns were made with its branches, while the wood was burned as incense.
